Project Night & Day Verdant Windbreaker

Sew Americana Tour – A 4th of July Crossroads

It’s time for this summer’s Sew Americana Tour hosted by the lovely Wild & Wanderful!  I love seeing all the red, white, and blue on this tour and this year I finally used up the last of my faded blue with white stars fabric that I’ve had in my stash for years.

Americana Crossroads This blue fabric has been so well loved over the years so I’m happy to have the final garment be a Crossroads tunic which should fit Bean for a year or two as long as she grows up more than out, hehe.

Americana Crossroads When I was designing the Crossroads Dress pattern, I had already envisioned a 4th of July version for Bean and these fabrics worked out just as I pictured.  I can’t believe the 4th is next week already, and even more unbelievable is that her outfit has been finished for over a month, hehe.

This tunic length Crossroads Dress is paired with last year’s Paneled Sunsuit shorts which are a little shorter now than I’d probably like on this long legged six year old.  You know what that means?  More Paneled Sunsuit inspiration must be around the corner, cause Bean needs new shorts!

That is an adorable top! I wish my girls were still little and would wear tops like this. I guess I could start campaigning for grandkids. 🙂 Beautiful!

What is it with kids always wanting to grow out of the clothes we make them? Don’t they know better? 😉

This outfit is adorable, Ajaire! This was a perfect use of your new pattern, girlfriend!

Love the blocking on the front…so cute! It works really well with the stars and stripes.
