Summer Swimwear Tour Kick Off

Today we’re kicking off the Summer Swimwear Tour!  Jess of Gracious Threads, Saskia of The Wolf and the Tree, and I have teamed up to present a week full of swimwear sewing.  With my Classic Maillot swimsuit and tankini, Gracious Threads’ Swim and Surf Shorts (in both women’s and kid sizes), and The Wolf and the Tree’s Just Keep Swimming rashguard, we have you covered for swimwear this year!

We’ll alternate posting for each day of the tour between the three blogs (today it’s here, tomorrow The Wolf and the Tree, Wednesday Gracious Threads, and so on), but I’ll have some fun swimwear posts here for you all week long.  Hint: you’ll want to join the Designs by Call Ajaire Facebook Group so you don’t miss out on a free pattern later this week!

Imagine Gnats offered to send all the tour bloggers some of the amazing swim fabric (*affiliate link) from her shop, so we give a big shout out to our fabulous sponsor.  With all the swimsuits I’ve made this year, I’ve used a lot of the swimwear fabric sold at Imagine Gnats and it’s great quality.
First up on the tour is Jane from Buzzmills with a Classic Maillot Tankini.  The sneak peek is so good that I can’t wait to read the whole post and see the rest of the pics!
Sprouting JubeJube made a Just Keep Swimming Rashguard and it looks like they had a lot of fun on the photoshoot!  Check out the full post here.
And I’m over on Imagine Gnats with the Women’s Swim and Surf Shorts.  Did you know Shorts On The Line started today as well?  Keep an eye on Imagine Gnats this week for loads of shorts inspiration and join in on the fun giveaway game!
There’s so much more to come this week on the tour.  Join in on the Summer Swimwear Tour fun by using the hashtag #sewswimtour to share your favorite swimwear makes.  And don’t forget to enter to win these fabulous prizes from our other sponsors!

I LOVE this dress view of the Rimini Romper, even I LOVE this dress view of the Rimini Romper, even though she’s already grown almost too tall for this one haha!! The faux wrap skirt adds just enough interest to make it feel like it’s own pattern, but that back though 😍😍

Well we tried to get a good picture on Easter Sund Well we tried to get a good picture on Easter Sunday, but between the wind, standing too far apart to fit us all in the “square”, and the kids not looking at the camera, it was a comedy of errors. 🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️

I've always loved making. At an early age I started cross stitching and sewing and I taught myself to knit and crochet during college. When our seven year old daughter Bean was born I was filled with all sorts of inspiration, so now I find ways to manage my crafty time and treasure those moments. Though sewing is what I'm most passionate about these days, there's something about the portability of yarn crafts and embroidery that keeps drawing me back in.
