The Ripley Swimmers are here!!! The final pattern for the Watercolor Beach collection has arrived and it really completes the capsule.
That back is stunning, right? I love the ruffled straps and for such a cool effect it’s way easier than you’d think to make it happen. The Ripley Swimmers are sized 1-10 and I made Bean a size 9. I was going to make a swimsuit for Kitty instead, but when the tween is interested in something I jump at the chance and she really loved the looks of those straps. How sweet are those ruffles in the front? I’m thrilled she likes the style, cause it looks great and I can see more in our future. The Ripley Swimmers pattern is by Bubby and Me Creations and can be purchased on its own or as a part of the full Watercolor Beach Collection. I love that the collection has two swimsuit patterns that are so different, cause it really gives you a variety of looks for the summer. Just perfect for capsule sewing.
The striped fabric was from Knitfabric.com and is the same I used for Kitty’s swimsuit posted here. I love how fun those watercolor stripes are and the purple solid from Raspberry Creek suits it so well. I really LOVE those ruffled straps – can you tell?? hehe
