Is anyone else super excited about the Mommy and Me collaboration between Simple Life Pattern Company and Sew Caroline? They’ve banded together to make a collection that is for Ladies and Girls and it’s amazing!
Remember Sew Caroline’s Waterfall Tank for ladies? This new Waterfall Tank sized down for girls by SLPCo is SO GOOD. There’s the option for tie straps or instructions for getting just the right fit with the bias tape stitched in place. I chose to stitch it in place since Bean runs around so much I would worry about the ties undoing all the time. It’s great that they include both options in the pattern!
The swingy top of the Waterfall Tank looks so sweet and will be perfect for summer. I sewed up a size six and the fit is perfect. The pattern includes instructions for making your own bias tape or using premade which is a nice detail. Since Riley Blake sent this glorious fabric (details at the end of the post) to make the tank and shorts I couldn’t pass up using some of the floral for the bias tape straps.
Another great Sew Caroline original is the Magnolia Shorts pattern. The girls Magnolia Shorts version is just as lovely. Breezy and lightweight, these shorts will be worn a ton here in the heat of Maryland summer. And the best part is how quick and easy they are to sew together. Sizes 2t to 12y means we’ll be able to use this pattern for summers to come!
