Project Night & Day Verdant Windbreaker

Riley’s Nightgown

Bean is growing out of her pajamas so quickly lately, that I’m in need of an assembly-line style replenish day.  In the meantime, I have a couple of holiday pajama tours to tell you about this week and first up is Riley’s Nightgown and Sleepshirt from EYMM patterns.

I love the classic nightshirt look to this pattern AND that it’s unisex.  The raglan sleeves are roomy so it looks nice and comfortable for sleeping.  For Bean I made the nightgown length which is just the right length to keep her warm.

I decided to use some glittered interlock that I’ve had in my stash for ages for this nightgown and then I was worried that the cream color might be too boring.  So I made a Christmas String Light stencil for one of the arms and I’ve made it available for free download here (*affiliate link).  It’s a pretty simple design, but I think it’d be fun on a t-shirt too.

Can you guys do me a favor and remind me next time that taking pictures at bedtime in a new nightgown with a string of garland might not be the best idea?  You know, the next time I’m about to do it?  Oh my goodness you guys…. this girl.

It was nearly impossible to get her to sit still for these pics, but suffice it to say that we LOVE this nightgown.  The interlock is a bit stiff right now (you can kind of see what I mean at the hem edge), but it will soften with each wash and I know she’ll get a lot of wear out of it.  I made the size 4T which is a little long in the arms, but even though the pattern asks you to check the arm length and shorten if necessary, I specifically left them long.  I tucked the excess under the wrist for these pics, but normally I would just leave them long to keep her extra warm in bed.

If you’d like to purchase your own Riley’s Nightgown & Sleep Shirt pattern OR the adult version Callie’s Nightgown & Nightshirt, you can use the code SNUGASABUG until December 11 for 30% off your purchase (including the bundle of both patterns)!

THose pictures are hysterical. I forgot those were your drapes and thought she was on stage somewhere. Of course, she's always on stage in your living room!!

The ornaments are so cute. I love the pattern. This child couldn't be boring if she tried…what an entertainer!

These were literally the only usable ones from the bunch. She was cracking me up, but couldn't stand still for a second.

Thanks Amy! I really love the stencil, but I'm not as in love with the colors of the ornaments as I was hoping I'd be. It works, but I think I may try it again on different fabric 🙂

Totally adorable!!! I'm so fretting about how I'm going to get decent pictures of my girls in their nightgowns for this!
