There was a Girl Scout event with a through the decades theme and this girl has an obsession with the 70s lately. She was very set on everything she was going to wear and how she would style it. I surprised her with this vest after school and she was THRILLED. 💕💕

Thankfully the Acorn Vest by @lovenotions was already in my pile to cut out and sew cause I knew she’d love one made out of @shannonfabrics Cuddle©. I secretly was planning one for her fall capsule, but this was the perfect excuse to try it out. It came together super fast (last minute as usual 😬😬) and the result was exactly what she was looking for.

I’m pretty sure this is llama luxe cuddle in the rosewater colorway, but I’ll have to check my notes to be sure 🤷🏼‍♀️ I lined it with a cotton from my stash which I think came from @hawthornesupplyco back in the day.

I've always loved making. At an early age I started cross stitching and sewing and I taught myself to knit and crochet during college. When our seven year old daughter Bean was born I was filled with all sorts of inspiration, so now I find ways to manage my crafty time and treasure those moments. Though sewing is what I'm most passionate about these days, there's something about the portability of yarn crafts and embroidery that keeps drawing me back in.
